Ofcom the communications regulator is changing the way 0870 telephone numbers work.

What does this mean if your company operates one?

•You will start to pay for your inbound telephone calls.
•No longer receive revenue share from your inbound calls.

Example

Your company receives 80 inbound calls per day with average call duration of 3 minutes @ £0.03 pence per minute (national rate):

80 x 3 = 240 x 5 days x 52 weeks x £0.03pence = £1872 per annum

And you would no longer receive revenue share on the above calls under the new regulations.
